All skinned~!

Wow! I actually re-skinned the page, successfully! I think it looks less cut and paste now :-) (only took me 2 and a half hours >.<). Oh well :-P Nothing else new up today, just that but new things will be coming~! I promise you.

New recipe up - Tamago Sushi

Tamago Sushi ( すし) is one of my favorites: it's simple, quick, an awesome start for a beginner and tastes amazing! It's easy because there is no rolling involved at all (I love nigiri sushi for that fact alone <3). I also love Srirachi sauce. It's used on bakudan with tempura crumbs and tuna. It makes a crunchy hot sushi :-) I hate wasabi, though.
At one of my buddies' birthdays last year I hate a whole chunk of it on a dare. That was stupid to say the least. And i did not feel good at all after all. But, because of that I drank more martinis and even tried a Starbucks one, it was awesome~!

Sushi Rice Recipe Posted

My personal recipe is now posted in the recipes section~! My first mistake when I started out was I bought the wrong rice. I bought sweet rice, thinking that was sushi rice. It turns out, sweet rice is another name for gluttonized rice. It is thick, heavy ball rice and it tastes ... well, not quite what I was used to >.<
My second mistake was the recipe amount. I thought roll quantity meant how many individual pieces of sushi would be made, but number of rolls means the number of uncut long rolls. So, I meant to make 24 pieces for my buddies as a nice sushi surprise, and ended up with 24 rolls, that makes 6 pieces each.. and I ended up with around 144 pieces of sushi...
Yep, that was alot of sushi. Took forever to roll too.
Needless to say, they didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. I won't make that mistake again :-)

All over the net I have searched for somewhere I could find nice sushi recipes. It's a sad but true fact it is quite hard to find a place with everything you'd ever need. So, this is going to be my storage of all recipes, tips, know-how, culture knowledge and everything related to sushi. Also, I am currently studying my Japanese at University, so as an added bonus, I'll be covering so basic words and phrases so you can also know some of the culture behind the food. :-)
